Please join us for a discussion with Afrooz Maghzi NajafabadiIranian Human Rights Attorney and Visiting Fellow at the Program on Law and Society in the Muslim World at Harvard Law School—on the role of Iranian women’s rights lawyers in the fight for gender justice and equality in Iran. We will explore the unique challenges and prospects of pursuing justice through Iranian courts and how women navigate and shape legal landscapes in the context of authoritarianism and gender discriminatory policies, laws, and institutional dynamics. 

The discussion will be moderated by Salma Waheedi, Lecturer on Law and Executive Director of the Program on Law and Society in the Muslim World.
