Omar Abdel-Ghaffar

Omar Abdel-Ghaffar is a third-year J.D. candidate at Harvard Law School and a sixth-year PhD Candidate in the History and Middle East Studies program at Harvard’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on Islamic law in the fourteenth century, examining the relationship between courts and peasants. He is also interested in the relationship between law, documentary practices, and social structures.
